Founded in 2016, RioT Technology Corp. (RioT) designs, develops and manufactures low power wireless solutions and sensors for outdoor environmental monitoring applications where low power and high reliability are important.
Our focus is environmental monitoring applications, typically related to management of water resources, AgTech and smart agriculture. The RioT team brings extensive experience with a variety of outdoor environmental monitoring sensors and applications including: soil moisture/temp./EC, hydrology, climate change research and a variety of meteorological applications.
RioT products are deployed in government, research, and industrial organizations in over forty (40) countries around the world. The RioT development and management teams have decades of experience in telecommunications, engineering, low-power sensor development, hardware manufacturing, agriculture applications and remote monitoring.
RioT has in-house manufacturing, design, testing and development capabilities with testing and development laboratory in Victoria, BC, Canada.
RioT acquired manufacturing tooling, patents for, and the rights to manufacture soil moisture measurement technologies and the GroPoint and MoisturePoint product designs from E.S.I. Environmental Sensors Inc.. E.S.I Environmental Sensors was the leading manufacture of moisture profile sensors around the world for approximately 25 years.
